Project “SAFE HERE – innovative community programs against current violent actions” has been successfully implemented
Development Centre 4 Family informs that in 30th of April, 2016 it has finished long-term project SAHE HERE implementation with significant results.
Project SAFE HERE was targeted for development of innovative programs against child abuse and foresees stranghtening of child rights in society by development of safe and well organized life conditions.
The Project consisted of several events and activities:
- Multidisciplinary team support (pedagogue, psychologist, social worker, art and sand theraphy speciālist) daily consultations for children who suffered from violence;
- Development of 2 innovative social services – support program for children – abusers and mobing theraphy in school;
- Vents for decrease of violent behaviour among peers and increase of motivation of behavior changes;
- Multiple methodological form disseminations and Exchange of experience amonf NGO’s, municiplaity and governmental organizations of Latvia and Norway.
Project target group exceeds 600 children, who have suffered from violence and children – abusers as well as specialists working daily to provide victioms reintegration into society.
The project was being implemented in Latvia – Riga, Liepaja and Valka municipalities with participation of partners from Oslo and Grimstad (Norway).
Parters in Latvia estabilshed consultation teams that were directly involved in support of Project target groups and provided help in crisis situations as psychologist, social worker and pedagogues consultations. Also projec partners received group consulation works in field of prevention activities like implementation of antimobbing program, program “NO to violence” and alternative arts studies.
Project partner Stine Sofie Stiftelsen provided organisation know-how in legal aspects of protection child rights and also participated in creation on new support programs. Several author based materials were implemented to be used in Latvia education institution.
The Project implementation was supported by program NGO Fund (EEZ Financial Instrument) with cofinancing in amount of 100 000 EUR.
